I have created user guides, 'quick start' guides, tutorials and Help files for most of the software applications I have managed and for other custom software. I have developed and implemented training programs for software applications. Being fluent in HTML coding, I have also helped to place many college courses on the web and have developed several web sites.

College Courses

Since 2000, I have worked with nSight, Burlington, Mass., automating and/or proofing online college courses. For nSight, I have also worked on the web sites for Harvard Business School newsletters and the MIT Sloan Management Review publication.

Bug and Feature Tracking System

I wrote a Windows Help system for Code Central, a commercial bug and feature tracking system, offered by Hand Crafted Code Inc. I also performed all testing on the new product.

Drug Study Tracking

I documented and tested custom systems that support drug study tracking for Alkermes, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. These systems support the scanning, indexing and retrieval of all documents that support drug studies.

Microsoft Outlook

I created a training program and trained all employees (140) of Southworth International Group, Inc., of Falmouth, Maine in the basics of using Microsoft Outlook.

Business Process

I helped to select and then managed the implementation and all of the training for L. L. Bean's first Manufacturing Resource Planning package (early 1980's). I prepared procedures to support data accuracy. I collected, created and audited data for the system. I created the training program and user guides and performed all of the training. Most of the users had never seen or touched a computer before. The implementation was successful. Among other items: inventory accuracy improved by over 20%.
